SVG 2

The new generation of nuclear radiation detectors

The SVG 2 is a hand-held, ruggedized micro-processor controlled radiation detector, based on state-of-the-art semiconductor technology. Equipped with integrated sensors for gamma and neutron radiation detection, an internal personal dosimeter, and an external a/b - g probe in the basic set.

Key features

  • Low weight and easy to handle design
  • Reduced power consumption
  • Measurement of g dose rate and dose
  • Adjustable alarm thresholds for all modes
  • Internal dose measurement of n and g radiation is performed with the shut off instrument
  • Data logger for 280 readings
  • Flexible use as hand-held or fixed radiation monitor
  • Additional hand held probes: a/b - g Probe, CP 170 contamination probe and the highly sensitive SP 45 for the detection of small amounts of g radiation
  • Ruggedized g - radiation probe for applications on board of ships
  • Set of vehicle g - probes according to NATO standard
  • Mounts for the base unit for onboard ship or vehicle use

Applications

The radiation survey meter SVG2 is in service with several armed forces worldwide. As part of NC monitoring systems the instrument is deployed in several ship and vehicle projects.
