Abstract

•Consistent to theory, we demonstrated >65.000 resolutionon an axial 320 cm Reflectron TOF Prototype. This gives confidence that all limiting factors are understood.

•500 ppb RMS accuracywas achieved with internal calibration. It is required to either have good sampling rates or use all isotopes for annotation.

•Imaging strongly improved. We achieved 3 Pixel/sec overall without compromising, e.g., protein image brightness. Laser pattern modulation is key for high speed MALDI-TOF

•Processing and data handlingare further key areas for high speed MALDI
