Abstract
 

• Confidence level of correct protein
   identification can greatly be
   improved with mass accuracies of
   precursor and fragment masses in
   the ppb range.

• 134 proteins could be identified in
   E.coli digest by MASCOT database
   search using a mass tolerance of
   1ppm with a decoy false discovery
   rate of only 1.1%.
