Abstract |

The molecular variations observed by FT-ICR-MS can be linked to accumulation processes and polarity characteristics of marine surface films. The technique allowed the identification of so far unknown sulfur compounds. For further structure analyses we will apply correlated harmonic excitation field isolation and on-resonance collision induced dissociation in the ICR cell. FT-ICR-MS enabled the first extensive molecular view on DOM in surface films which are important for element fluxes in the ocean. |
