There is an open position for a FTMS Applications Scientist in our Billerica, Massachusetts Facility.

FTMS Applications Scientist

The FTMS Applications Scientist will perform analyses of samples submitted by prospective customers and create detailed reports; assist in technical sales support by preparing and conducting demonstrations to prospective customers; author technical documents that highlight new and innovative application results using Bruker’s FTMS systems; assist in the installation of new FTMS systems by providing on-site customer training and application specific system testing; develop new applications for the FTMS product line to be used for posters and presentations at technical conferences and marketing seminars; train new and existing customers and give the best possible customer support.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in the physical or biological sciences or equivalent experience and 3-5 years’ FTMS experience.   Ph.D. preferred.  Demonstrated experience in sample preparation methodologies for ESI, APCI, and MALDI , and LC/MS to include nanoflow LC/MS required.  Experience with Windows operating systems and MS Office applications required as are excellent verbal and written communication skills with a wide variety of knowledge levels with customers and in-house personnel.

Ability and willingness to travel as travel is required.
