Product Specialist

in our Billerica office.


The ideal candidate will be an experienced scientist with good connections among users of our products and who has experience with our products and application areas. The Product Specialist will work with customers, sales specialists and the applications group to help generate sales.

The Product Specialist will act as the primary contact point for the sales group for the technical input that they require in sales situations in a particular product or market area, with an emphasis on visiting the customer with the salesperson to communicate the key technical advantages of our products. Additionally, the Product Specialist will generate sales-oriented technical talks, marketing seminars and applications notes that highlight the capabilities of our products and software; determine appropriate seminars, conferences and poster sessions to attend and showcase our products.

Ph.D in chemistry/biochemistry or experienced BS/MS level with several years’ experience with mass spectrometry, as applied to the target market of the product. Excellent communications and presentation skills needed with a wide variety of knowledge levels with customers. Experience with sales and marketing of scientific instrumentation or other technical products is desirable. Extensive experience working in or selling to the target market for the product. Demonstrated experience with all Bruker software products and MS Office.

Training and willingness to work safely with potentially hazardous chemicals is required.

Willingness and ability to travel as travel in support of sales cases and for seminars and presentations mean that this position will involve about 50% travel.
