Integration of Bruker Daltonics CBRN Sensors

Bruker System Integration

The Bruker System Integration (BSI) software is the integration platform designed to provide central access to CBRN detection results in real time for both military and civil applications.

For each type of CBRN detector, developed and manufactured by Bruker, a highly specialized software application is supplied, which controls the detector device and calculates the detection results from the analysis data collected.

The aggregated detection and status data of each detector are reported to the BSI immediately. The collected information is combined into a system data report, which provides information on different detail levels– ranging from an overall detection system status to the possibility to drill down to the detection result data of each detector device.

The BSI has been developed using a modular structure and as a distributed software application system. Therefore it is possible to let each of the integrated detector software applications run on a separate personal computer or if required use several PCs for more than one detector application or just one single powerful PC for smaller installations.

The BSI uses the same standard networking infrastructure as the Local Area Networks (LAN). It can be installed stationary in industrial areas or military facilities, and also deployed in a mobile application in naval and vehicle installations.

Key features

  • Integration of all Bruker CBRN sensors
  • Fast survey of the current situation
  • Critical infrastructure protection applications
  • Data fusion with additional data of different sensors (e.g. weather conditions and geographical position data, if available)
  • Display of remote sensing results as well as point detection results

CBRN View - Client application for real time CBRN Detection

The CBRN View software is a client application, which connects to the BSI Server in order to receive and display CBRN detection results in real time on a graphical user interface.

Since BSI provides the detection status reports combined with GPS position data, the visualization is enhanced by showing the actual position of a detector device on a geographical map on the screen.

The mapping functionality includes dynamically changing symbols as well as point-and-click tools to get detailed data or to adjust the display view.

The CBRN View application is able to show the current detection status data in many different views – ranging from visual alarm signals to a detection event list.

The up-to-date status information of each detector device is displayed in a separate view to allow the operator to arrange the screen layout accordingly.
