Protein Quantitation
Performance Factors of a targeted Label-free Protein Quantitation Approach
The maxis, a ultra-high resolution Qq-TOF mass spectrometer demonstrates outstanding capabilities for label-free quantitations in high-throughput applications. Equipped with a new nano-ESI sprayer, the instrument delivers accurate quantitation over 2-3 orders of magnitude in a complex biological mixture. Low abundant biomarker identifications are within easy reach.

Protein Characterization
Tryptic Digests, Spatially Resolved
While Top-Down Analysis easily allows analysis of endogenous proteins and peptides in MALDI imaging, bottom-up analysis delivers additional benefits: Analysis of peptides from proteins too large for typical MALDI experiments, simplified ID of tryptic peptides compared to endogenous peptides and access to analysis of formalin-fixed paraffin embedded tissue (FFPE). The ImagePrep, with its ability to deliver small droplets onto tissue sections in a controlled manner, is well suited for on-tissue digests as shown in the application note MT-98.

Ultrafast MS–MS Screening Applications
Confident Identification of Compounds at UHPLC Speed
The amaZon was demonstrated as a fast and reliable screening instrument. Library-based identification of compounds was achieved by ultrafast MS and MS–MS under polarity switching within extremely short UPLC gradients. With unsurpassed speed and sensitivity, the amaZon is the instrument of choice for compound screening with spectral libraries.
