Abstract

Detecting DNA mismatches by using selfassembled

monolayers (SAMs) which

include regions of DNA-capture probes:

The hybridization of complementary

target DNA versus mismatched DNA is

distinguished by MALDI-TOF mass

spectrometry. The extent to which mismatched

DNA can hybridize to capture

probes depends on the type and position

of the mismatch. Spots of higher wettability

show the locations of DNA
